Mira Lehenga (Ready to Ship)

Size Guide

Elegance, sophistication, and incredible craftsmanship - the Mira Lehenga is fit for a queen, with head-to-toe lucknowi embroidery and a shimmer fabric underneath to create the subtlest - but prettiest - wow factor. You would not expect an outfit as rich as this one to also be comfortable and lightweight, but sometimes you do get the best of all worlds.

Each piece in the Mira line of lehengas is unique. The lucknowi (also known as chikankari) embroidery on the fabric for each new order will have slight variations.

This is a Ready to Ship sample piece. Estimated arrival time is 2-3 weeks from date of purchase. Three (3) pieces come with this item - a skirt, blouse, and dupatta.

  • This piece is made from lucknowi or chikankari fabric. Chikan literally means embroidery and the style of the fabric comes from the embroidery.

Many accounts say Noor Jahan, the wife of Mughal emperor Jahangir, introduced Chikan, which was originally a Persian art, to India in the 17th century.

Originally the embroidery was done on muslim or mulmul fabric, but it is now done on a variety of fabrics. This lehenga is made with a georgette chikankari fabric.

Chikankari artisans are all over India, but Lucknow is the main center (hence the term "lucknowi fabric").
